Holiday Cheer: Santa's journey powered by Microsoft
It’s my pleasure to share that Microsoft has teamed up with the North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) this year to help children around the world track Santa’s Christmas journey!
For over 50 years, NORAD has played this vital role in spreading Christmas cheer throughout the world, and this year the NORAD anta Tracker is powered by Microsoft. Hosted by Microsoft’s Windows Azure cloud computing platform, the NORAD Santa Tracker website will plot Santa’s journey on December 24th using Bing Maps! And this year Santa is going mobile, with a Windows 8 app and a Windows Phone app to help anxious kids track Santa from their mobile device.
We are so thrilled to be partnering with NORAD on such a great cause, and are honored that Microsoft technology was chosen to support the nearly 25 million expected visitors to the Santa Tracker site this year.
