Join us for this free, half-day event where we will take a lap around Microsoft’s ALM tooling with particular focus on enabling Agile software development within Federal Agencies.
Microsoft Team Foundation Server (TFS) is the collaboration platform at the core of Microsoft’s application lifecycle management solution which was ranked top ALM solution by Gartner in 2012. In addition to core features like source control, build automation and work-item tracking, TFS enables teams to align projects with industry processes such as Agile, Scrum and CMMi via the use of customizable XML Process Templates.
Government agencies typically struggle with leveraging Agile development practices due to their deep roots in waterfall project management and culture. However, GovDev is an open source, TFS Process Template that helps enable development teams to leverage Agile methods and tools, all while maintaining the requirements traceability and resource tracking necessary within Waterfall project/program methodologies.
