Public Sector Windows Phone App of the Week - NATIONAL GALLERY

Public Sector Windows Phone App of the Week!

National Gallery

The National Gallery of Art was created in 1937 for the people of the United States of America by a joint resolution of Congress

This app allows you to:

  • Browse the collection of paintings and sculptures from galleries such as American, British, French, Italian, Contemporary, Dutch, and Spanish. By tapping on a piece, the art work will enlarge, providing facts such as artist, title, and year. Each piece rotates 360 degrees, providing an opportunity to glance at the panoramic background art work of each gallery.
  • A panorama format enables easy navigation by panning and flicking between gallery sections. When you reach the far side of a gallery, you can keep going to wrap around to the beginning.
  • Additional application features include a brief history of the National Gallery of Art, Twitter posts, and the option to browse the National Gallery of Art web site.
