Join us for a day of exploring SharePoint-as-a-Development-Platform. First we will examine some real world Federal SharePoint development projects looking at both business and technical details. From there, will take a developers tour into the SharePoint Development Platform and demonstrate how you can quickly build custom SharePoint applications leveraging the project templates, designers, and packaging tools within Visual Studio 2010. Finally, we will explore how to streamline your SharePoint development projects with the use of Team Foundation Server (TFS) for all of your Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) activities.

This session will take a deep dive into best practices on environmental setup/management and illustrate how Microsoft Team Foundation Server (TFS) provides all the ALM capacities necessary for teams building custom applications on the SharePoint platform.
