For those of you who are interested in looking at the new Ruby Syntax, but are more comfortable with Visual Studio and the .NET Framework, then you might want to take a look at IronRuby.  IronRuby is an ongoing project to build a version of Ruby that will ride on the .NET Framework (Similar to COBOL.NET, FORTRAN.NET, and the many other syntax/languages that use the .NET Framework).

This is a how-to article that I found on the website, which is one of the many sources that I use to keep up with the Software Development world, primarily because they do a great job with "how-to" development topics.
