About the Conference
We invite you to join us for a day of developer-oriented technical sessions, featuring Visual Studio Tools for Office (VSTO), Windows Workflow Foundation (WF) and Windows Communication Foundation. These exciting technologies enable entirely new types of applications to be built in record time. You will learn to leverage the Microsoft Office Platform to build custom applications with VSTO, create and integrate workflows into everyday applications using Windows Workflow Foundation. Modern applications operate on data in several different forms: Relational tables, XML documents, and in-memory objects. Each of these domains can have profound differences in semantics, data types, and capabilities, and much of the complexity in today’s applications is the result of these mismatches. The session on LINQ+LINQ to SQL explains how Visual Studio 2008 aims to unify the programming models through LINQ capabilities in C# and Visual Basic, a strongly typed data access framework, and an innovative Application Programming Interface (API) for manipulating and querying XML. We also have a 90 minute Q&A session at the end for any Microsoft developer technology related questions that you might have. You can also email your questions to dpeqa@microsoft.com prior to the event and the speakers will make every effort to answer your Microsoft developer technology related questions during this session.
These sessions will target Developers, Architects and Web Designers be very much demonstration oriented, and will be delivered by seasoned developers with experience in Government and Public Sector. Seize this opportunity to immerse yourself amidst these exciting new technologies!
