About the Conference

The conference comprises a day of developer-oriented technical sessions, featuring the Windows Platform Foundation, Visual Studio 2008 and Microsoft Silverlight. These exciting technologies enable entirely new types of applications to be built in record time. The session on Windows Platform Foundation will explore the 4 application platform components comprising .Net 3.0 and the evolution of .Net 3.0 into .Net 3.5. The presentation will delve in to each layer of the framework: Windows Communication Foundation (WCF), Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF), Windows Card Space (WCS), and Windows Workflow Foundation (WF). The session will also introduce you to Silver - the new evolutionary path for WCF + WF in Visual Studio 2008. In the afternoon session, discover the ability to create rich, visually stunning, interactive content and applications that run on multiple browsers and operating systems with Microsoft Silverlight. You will also learn about the benefits of Microsoft Silverlight from a developer perspective and get an introduction to building Microsoft Silverlight applications using Microsoft developer and designer tools especially exploring the key components of the Expression suite of products which is the core enabler for building multimedia-rich applications for the web and Visual Studio 2008. The session will also explore Silverlight Hosting/Publishing on Windows Live.
