We invite you to join us for a day of technical sessions featuring the Microsoft Virtual Earth Platform. The Virtual Earth Platform from Microsoft is an integrated set of services that combines unique aerial, and satellite imagery with best-of-breed mapping, location and search functionality. The keynote session on Increasing Agency Capabilities followed by a customer technology showcase will provide an overview on how agencies can create an immersive experience that enables citizens to easily discover, search, and visualize critical business location data from within existing line of business applications. You will also learn how Virtual Earth can extend your investments in ESRI tools and allows for greater insight into business data.
The session on Extending the Virtual Earth Platform through Geospatial Expertise will be brought to you by the team from Vexcel Corporation. Acquired by Microsoft Corporation in May 2006, Vexcel Corporation brings 21 years of experience in providing geospatial solutions for government to the Microsoft Virtual Earth program. This includes expertise in aerial and close-range photogrammetry, as well as technologies to create geo-specific and geometrically accurate 3D city models. Join the Vexcel team to understand how Microsoft’s core Virtual Earth offering is extended through exclusive solutions and services that include a Virtual Earth service for offline environments, and Vexcel’s Custom Collects service that provides Public Sector customers with aerial imagery and high resolution 3D models of cities, critical facilities and locations of interest.
The afternoon session will be a deep technical dive on Adding Mapping Capabilities to your Applications with Virtual Earth. Learn to program with the Virtual Earth Map Control and take your websites and applications to the next level by integrating the Virtual Earth Platform to deliver highly visual and locally relevant information consumers most care about.
