Cryptograpy API: Next Generation (CNG)

This just in from our Federal Security Program Manager Bill Billings:

We recently posted new information on Cryptography API: Next Generation (CNG) API within MSDN. CNG is the long-term replacement for the CryptoAPI and is designed to be extensible at many levels and cryptography agnostic in behavior. CNG is intended for use by developers of applications that will enable users to create and exchange documents and other data in a secure environment.

We’re also working on a White Paper on the Suite-B algorithms available in Vista and Longhorn that our federal customers will be very interested in.
