I just came across this whitepaper from the Web Services and Other Distributed Technologies Center on MSDN.  "The Beta 2 release of WinFX includes InfoCard v1.0 as a feature for using digital identities in a user-centric identity framework. Learn how to interoperate with the InfoCard system as either an identity provider or a relying party."
