Welcome to the Microsoft Federal Developer Evangelism Team Blog.  The purpose of this blog is to serve as an information resource for software developers using Microsoft development tools and technologies who are building solutions for the US Federal Government.

So who are we?  The team is made up of the following members:

Marc Schweigert (Developer Evangelist)
Robert Shelton (Developer Evangelist)
Ken Garove (Developer Technology Specialist)
Jeff Ogorek (Developer Solutions Specialist)
David Brown (Architect Evangelist)
Vlad Vinogradsky (Architect Evangelist)
Keith Hurwitz (Platform Strategy Advisor)
Darryl Schaffer (Federal D&PE Director)

Since this is a developer focused blog, you’ll be hearing from Marc, Robert, Ken, and Jeff most of the time.  David, Vlad, and Keith are focused on Architecture, but will be chiming in now and then.  Darryl has even said he’s going to blog!

Consider our team your Microsoft liaison for all things related to software development in the US Federal Government.  Please don’t hesitate to tell us what you want to see on this blog.  We want to hear from you.  The more feedback you give us, the better!

    For Jeff Ogorek:

Jeff, we spoke of AF licensing for VSTS.  Still need to nail that down but I lost your number.  My developers/purchase folks need to speak with you to work out the pricing details.  Please send an email with your contact info to
