View Control Programming in Word and Excel 2003 - Webcast

The VSTO team will be doing a bunch of webcasts over the next month. I will be giving one of them. My webcast will be on August 4th at 1pm PST. My topic is View Control Programming in Word 2003 and Excel 2003 using VSTO 2005. This is going to be a great talk about view controls, what they are and how to use them. I will show you how to use all of the view controls in both Word and Excel. View Controls are a new concept to Office development. They allow you to program against Office as you would program against WinForms. Which is really cool. Also View Controls enable databinding to Word and Excel object model objects. For example image databinding your invoice information from SQL directly to bookmarks in Word or cells in Excel. I will touch on databinding but Andrew Jewsbury will have a entire webcast dedicated to databinding in VSTO 2005. His talk is next week on July 27th at 1pm PST. I have included the complete schedule below. All times are PST. The webcasts are free. click on the “More Details” links below to sign up for the ones that interest you.
