Microsoft PSS is back for the PASS 2007 Summit!
Since 2003, Microsoft PSS engineers have been speaking and meeting customers at the PASS Summit. 2007 will be no different. In fact, this year ten of our top PSS engineers are coming into the conference to speak, host labs, and meet customers. I thought I would briefly outline how we will be involved in the summit this year:

Monday, September 17, 2007 - The Performance Toolset Workshop
Joseph Pilov and myself will be presenting tools and techniques used by the Microsoft PSS team to analyze and resolve SQL Server Query Performance Problems. This talk will include live demonstrations involving practical situations with tools such as:

We will also discuss new features in SQL Server 2008 specifically designed to attach query performance issues.

Ken Henderson coined this term back in 2003 and we are keeping this tradition going. Fany Vargas, Lakshmi Jonnakuti, and the rest of our team (when we are not speaking) will be in room 708 with our infamous self-paced troubleshooting labs. If you want some opportunities for real-world hands-on labs with SQL Server 2005, then come to room 708 and check them out.

Although we love solving a tough problem, it is really a great chance for us to also hear about the success stories with SQL Server.
