//by Amy Sorokas

Do you have a fantastic photograph that showcases conservation and the environment?  The call for entries for the 2010 International Conservation Photography Awards (ICP Awards) is now open through February 28, 2010.

The ICP Awards is a premier world-wide photography event for both amateur and professional photographers focused on conservation and the environment. There are nine submission categories including Landscape, Wildlife, Flora, Underwater, Community at Risk, Natural Environment at Risk, Documenting a Conservation Project, Puget Sound at Risk, and Student.

Nature photographer and Microsoft Icon of Imaging, Art Wolfe, is one of the founding creators of the ICP Awards, which furthers his vision of using photography as a medium to raise awareness and encourage preservation of the environment.

Recognized photographs of this biennial juried photo competition have the opportunity to win cash, prizes, and have their images featured in an online exhibit, in a three-month gallery exhibit at the Burke Museum of Natural History and Culture in Seattle, Washington, and in national photography publications.
