The Top 100 Iconic Photos Places in the World

"Photography is an adventure in discovery." In that spirit, Outdoor Photography and PC Photo magazines are publishing a three month feature sponsored by Microsoft and Canon USA that seeks to identify and recognize the Top 100 Iconic Photo Locations of the World. The interactive website enables viewers to use Microsoft Virtual Earth to explore the top photo locations selected by the editors along with their own favorite sites.

There is also a photo contest with a Grand Prize worth $10,000 that invites readers to submit their ultimate shots from distant and exotic locations or, from the cultures and people nearer to home. The Grand Prize winner in the Top 100 Photo Contest will win $1,000 cash and a prize package that includes the Canon 5D D-SLR Camera and a Microsoft Photo Workflow software package—along with publication of their winning image in PCPhoto magazine. There is also a First Prize and a Peoples' Choice Awards category

All photos must be submitted online by August 15, 2008.
