Swedish Medical Center Baby Photo Contest

NordSeattle-142bSwedish is celebrating their 100th anniversary in a cute way (video). They’ve delivered 200,000 babies, more than any other hospital in Washington state. Now they’re delivering a great experience for the community to celebrate their 100th birthday. If you or your child were born at Swedish, you can visit Swedish100.org and upload your baby photos to join the over 2,000 others as part of this growing social experience. Then on Microsoft Surface at select Nordstrom stores, you can browse baby photo albums and your kids (or you!) can use real wood blocks to ink stamps the virtual world.

Surface units were installed in Nordstrom stores in the Kids’ Shoes department this week at the Seattle, Bellevue Square and Alderwood Mall locations. The Surface units will be on display in Nordstrom stores through the month of May.

It looks like decent weather in the Northwest this weekend. So, go out with the family to the park during the day and then head on over to Nordstrom Kids Shoes in the afternoon to do some shopping, get a balloon and check out those Swedish babies on Surface.

The application on Surface (and the Swedish100.org web site) was designed by POP, a Seattle-based digital agency. Cute doesn’t even begin to describe this wonderful experience. See for yourself in the video below.
