Have you considered making an update optimized for the new iPhone 4S? With a better camera and a much faster processor, you can optimize the image quality/resolution now. I find that currently the image quality is good but not great.

  2. Hi PhotosynthLover,

The resolution generated by our iPhone app is limited by the memory size of the iPhone much more than the resolution of the camera. Taking full advantage of the iPhone 4's resolution (let alone the 4S's) will take a major rethink of our stitching algorithm. In other words, we want to do it, but it's not going to be simple and we need to trade it off against other important features.

As far as I know the amount of RAM that the 4S will ship with hasn't yet been announced. If it is significantly higher than the 4, we may be able to raise the resolution for at least that platform without the major redesign.

Thanks for the response. I didn't know it depends on the RAM and it makes good sense. Hopefully the 4S does come with more RAM so you guys can improve an already excellent system. If it doesn't, I'll skip the 4S and go straight to 5.
