Upcoming Change to Photosynth Terms of Use

We will be changing the Photosynth Terms of Use
(http://photosynth.net/legal.aspx) to the Microsoft Services Agreement
(http://explore.live.com/microsoft-service-agreement?ref=none) next month
to provide more consistent terms across Microsoft’s online properties.  This notice serves as the required 30 day
notification required in the Photosynth Terms of Use before any changes are
made.  The Photosynth service remains the
same and we’ll be adding exciting mobile panorama functionality soon.  Stay tuned for more details.

If you have questions about this, don’t hesitate to contact us at photosynth@live.com

Thanks very much,

David Gedye
Photosynth Group Program Manager

I'll be counting down the days.

By the by, what happened to the color scheme here on the weblog? MSDN Blogs seem to be undergoing some growing pains between the extraneous /b/ in the URL and now the loss of the Photosynth background image and color scheme.

  2. I see what you mean. The styling on this page changed out from under us just yesterday for a reason we need to dig into. Thanks for letting us know. We'll fix it early next week if it doesn't fix itself before then 🙂

I wish there is a way that it could interact with facebook, just to share it better, 🙂

    Jake, I'm with you.

On the previous weblog entry, 'Coming soon: Gorgeous Mobile Panos' ( http://bit.ly/mobilepan ), you hear Blaise tell Josh around the 1:10 mark that you'll be able to share to Facebook, etc.

I'm hoping that means finally embedding synths, panos, (and possibly even object movies – see this video: http://gizmodo.com/5769752 ) actually in Facebook, as the chances of people who are already in Facebook clicking on a link to an external page and then being told to install Silverlight on that external page (in the case that they don't already have it installed or are on some sort of mobile platform which does not allow Silverlight) feels like a few too many barriers for the average internet user, I'm sad to say.
