SQL Server SP3 has compatibility issues on Vista and Windows 2008



SQL Server SP3 shipped with files that have known compatibility issues on Vista and Windows 2008. To resolve, it is suggested that you apply Visual Studio 2005 Service Pack 1, See http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=960320 for more information.


 


If you obtain the SQL Server SP3 update through Microsoft Update when available, you may see a Windows dialog mentioning the issue.  You can dismiss this dialog and then apply Visual Studio Service Pack 1.

    However, I don't have Visual Studio 2005 (I have Visual Studio 2010). But I need SQL Server 2008 for some work I'm doing on Team Foundation Server. How do I resolve?
