.NET Stock Trader at NYC Connected Systems User Group

This month, the NYC Connected Systems user group has a cool meeting planned.  Greg Leake will be in town from Redmond and will present on the .NET Stock Trader application: https://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/netframework/bb499684.aspx.  This is a .NET re-write of a popular Java reference application, demonstrating how interoperable  .NET is from an SOA point of view as well as demonstrating the superior performance and productivity of .NET.  It’s an amazing demo.

Meeting Date:  Monday April 21, 2008

Registration: Due to security policies at the Microsoft building, everyone must register here: https://www.clicktoattend.com/invitation.aspx?code=127324

.NET StockTrader/SOA Session

Subject: The .NET StockTrader is an end-to-end sample application for .NET Enterprise Application Server technologies. It is a distributed service-oriented application based on the .NET Framework, specifically using Windows Communication Foundation and ASP.NET. This session will illustrate how many of the .NET enterprise development technologies are made for building highly scalable, rich "enterprise-connected" applications. Greg will also be doing a full demo of this application and how he has designed this application to be a benchmark kit.

Speaker: Greg Leake works in the Connected Systems Division at Microsoft. Greg has been at the company for about 15 years and have held several positions including a few in the Developer Division. He currently spends most of his time developing new enterprise software and samples that focus on interoperability, scalability and performance.
