Reminder: devCouncil NJ + NJ MS Dev 6 Year Birthday

Just a reminder, tomorrow, Thursday, December 7th, is the first (of what I hope will be many) devCouncils that my team will be running in the Microsoft Iselin, NJ office.  The devCouncil runs from 1pm to 5pm.  If you haven't registered yet, you can find the registration link here.

At the devCouncil, we have a great .NET Framework 3.0 line-up:

1:00 - 2:45 - Up first on the agenda will be Windows CardSpace.   Windows CardSpace is the new identity meta-system built into Windows Vista, and now available on Windows XP too.  It's a great way for logging into websites without having to remember those pesky user names and passwords.

3:00 - 5:00 - Next, we'll have Asli Bilgin, one of our Platform Strategy Advisors from the Financial Services team, covering the all new Windows Presentation Foundation.  You'll get to learn about Microsoft's next-generation user interface technology which enables developers & designers, via XAML, to work together to bring about some really great user experiences.

Between the two, depending on time, we'll also cover an overview of the Windows Communication Foundation and the Windows Workflow Foundation.

6:00 - 8:00 - When the devCouncil wraps up around 5pm, stick around for NJ Microsoft Developers group meeting which runs from 6-8pm.  Sonya Lidov from Microsoft Consulting Services will cover Custom Workflows in Microsoft Office Sharepoint Server.

Between the end of the devCouncil and the beginning of the user group, there will be pizza & soda served.  To celebrate the 6th birthday of the user group, they will have some prizes to give out.
