Announcing 'devStream' for Developers
Today marks exactly one year since I've taken on the Developer Evangelist role at Microsoft here in New Jersey and New York. Since then, I've gotten to meet many wonderful folks in the area developer community via various user groups, code camps, and other events. People often ask me at those events what my "day job" is like. Well, now my day job is going to be a bit more accessible to the community!
Starting next week, my team and I will be supporting a new technical program for developers called 'devStream'. devStream provides a constant flow of technical information, as well as, networking opportunities for enterprise, partner, and enthusiast developers. devStream will focus on topics like the .NET 3.0 framework, ASP.NET AJAX, and Office System Development as well as other Microsoft developer related technologie
devStream consists of several event types:
- devCasts - 100 level, 200 level, and Deep Dive webcasts.
- devCouncils - Monthly in-person event featuring a Microsoft developer evangelist, industry luminaries and customers covering topics like the ones listed above. These events also offer attendees the opportunity to network with their peers.
- devBrainPicks - This is your opportunity to pick the brain of your local developer evangelist and their occasional guest experts on a monthly basis. We'll discuss a few developer frequently asked questions and then open things up for Q&A with the attendees.
These events will occur on a regularly scheduled basis to make it consistent for folks to remember them. For now, I will be posting the schedule on my blog. In the future, I'm considering putting together a new 'devStream' site to post the schedule, as well as the content after the events have occurred.
