Announcing: The .NET Framework 3.5 Commonly Used Types and Namespaces poster

We just completed the .NET Framework 3.5 update to the Commonly Used Types and Namespaces poster.

Here’s a link to the PDF if you want to grab it now and be the first on your block to get it on your wall. We’ll be using it at a variety of places, if you think it would be a cool thing to have at a Microsoft event then please go suggest it to some Microsoft employee that you know.

Let me point out the little additive circles diagram at the bottom right. We’ve found that this is a great way to explain the additive version releases of the .NET Framework 2.0 – 3.0 – 3.5. The primary reason for updating the .NET Framework this additive way instead of the side-by-side nature of .NET Framework 1.1 – 2.0 is to make it easier for customers to upgrade their apps. Here’s that diagram again.

Update: I posted an XPS version which can print over multiple pages.

The text is too small to be useful, even on 11 x 17 paper.  I have the Framework 2.0 poster that came with the VS2005 media and it is great…but it is about 30 x 30.  Is there some way to order the full printed wall poster?

  17. jG says:

cool , but is there a way to size up the image to fit on the desktop background?

  20. Wow!  Now I only need to go to Kinko’s to get this wonderful poster printed on nice poster paper.  I’ve used the 2.0 for ages now and I have been anxiously waiting for a 3.5 asp.net poster to show up.  By the way the graphic design is nice and clean.  Kudos on the  work guys!

  21. Paul Andrew says:

I am going to get a PDF version of this that prints on multiple sheets of ordinary paper. We’re still working on plans for making printed copies available.

  35. Paul Andrew says:

    Hi Eddy,

There is a .NET Framework 2.0 one published on Brad Abrams blog as a JPG. However all the most common types from the .NET Framework 2.0 are on this poster as they are also part of .NET Framework 3.5.
