Team Amplifiers from Pakistan has qualified for Imagine 2014 World Finals

We are excited to share that Pakistan’s Imagine Cup team, Amplifiers from Ghulam Ishaq Khan Institute (GIKI) has qualified for Imagine World Finals [Finals Round] in the World Citizenship category to be held in Seattle this July.

They are among the 34 teams selected from 170 teams from 76 countries who competed in the world semifinals.

Here’s a brief about their project,

Project AMP - Auditory Modified Perception replaces expensive hearing aid frequency processing with a Windows Phone 8 and a Bluetooth headset along with providing audiometry test right on the phone. It further expands the cost effective solution to incorporate Auditory Brainstem Response (EEG) for examining hearing loss in infants. The test results including both ABR and audiograms can then be shared using Windows 8 doctor management system. The ecosystem also provides a member community portal hosted on Azure where patients can discuss problems with other patients.
