Featured App/Hero of the Day Series

There's no doubt that we have a mature developer pool here in Pakistan and that's getting more and more professional with each passing day. As always the case, we've hobbyists, student and independent developers, we've software startups and Independent Software Vendors (ISVs) and each one is contributing into Microsoft's emerging platform for Windows 8 and Windows Phone powered by Azure. However we've noticed that our developers and companies aren't gaining much visibility on national and international scale which they deserve.

With this realization in place, starting today, we'll frequently feature an App or relative developer heroes from Pakistan. Our criterion of App or Hero selection is very flexible to ensure a broad range of apps get featured. We might break student apps with innovative ideas to those that solve real word problems. You might find us featuring an app for Windows 8 platform with rich graphical user interface or an app on Windows Phone marketplace that competed in any international competition and won a prize.

If you are an individual developer, an ISV, a software startup or an enthusiast from Pakistan who is developing on Microsoft's modem platforms (Windows Store Apps, Windows Phone 8, Azure) and reading this blog post, this is your chance to be recognized and featured. Please leave a comment with your app link, contact details and any possible features that distinguishes your app from others. We'll review your app and if shortlisted to be featured, we'll contact you back. The only condition needs fulfilled that the app is published from Pakistan.
