  1. As a network consultant and beta tester I found that Windows 8 wouldn't be well received by the general PC user because of the extreme changes it made from previous platforms. And that I understand the loss of presence in the market place and a need for a change for cross platform use and I hope that this revision will live up to what the general PC user needs.

    I have been a stalwart supporter of Microsoft since I built my first PC in 1992.  However, Windows 8 has left a very bad impression.  Not only is it obvious that MS has written off desktop PCs altogether.  It is also obvious that the current management considers the opinions of its longtime supporters irrelevant.  The incredible arrogance shown by the current management has resulted in plummeting PC sales and opened the "window" for other operating systems to compete with Windows.  Unless these shortfalls are remedied in 8.1 we can write finis to MS as the dominant supplier of operating systems.
