Did you happen to lose something in the Amstel River? Say within the past 500 years?

As part of the construction of the North/South metro line in Amsterdam, engineers drained the historic river, and archaeologists cataloged the objects found at Damrak¹ and Rokin.

    I’ve spent far too much time over the past 24 hours looking through all that stuff, fascinating (and nicely laid out by whoever did the website).

    The fact that archaeologists are now starting to catalogue mobile phones made me feel really old …
