But instead, they decided to build the Great Wheel

I dreamed that Seattle was building its own version of the Eiffel Tower. Just like the original, except that it was also a thrill ride similar to Round Up but you are seated.

It turns out that the city of Seattle accepted my subconscious's instructions to replicate another city's famous landmark, but the message wasn't received loud and clear. Instead of making an Eiffel Tower knock-off, we decided to make a London Eye knock-off.

When I was at Legoland I was amused to see the model of Las Vegas with a faithful replica of the city's faithful replica of the Eiffel Tower.  The cycle could be completed with a tribute to Legoland atop the Eiffel Tower.

Doesn't Seattle already have a big tower that was inspired, at least partially, by the one Mr. Eiffel designed?

Better than Melbourne's Southern Star observation wheel – went into service early 2009, lasted a month then was taken out of service because of structural failure. Four years on they're still working on the rebuild.
