Star Trek meets The A-Team

Rumors swirl that there's a movie version of The A-Team in the works. If they haven't decided on the casting yet, here's an option they may have overlooked: The cast of Star Trek.

(I like how in the clips used in the fake trailer, they use one of an episode where Kirk is old. And in Hollywood, making a character older means graying their hair. They never gain weight when they age, unlike the actors themselves.)

I don’t know if they’ve picked the cast yet, but they’ve already told Mr T he won’t be reprising his role:

laonianren — Nobody BUT Mr. T could play B.A. Baracus. That’s a shame. They’ll probably put Jim Carrey in as Murdock. Not that Jim’s a bad actor, but there’s subtlety to Murdock, not over-the-top Carrey style.

From what I understand the rapper Ice Cube is in the lead to take on the role as B.A. Baracus. At any rate, I think the A-Team movie might possibly be worth a trip to the theaters. I loved the show immensely. I’ve been much more hesitant to venture out to the theaters though after wasting money to see crap like "V for Vendetta" and "The Day the Earth Stood Still".

I have said it before, and I’ll say it again, the only working cast is the originals + Clooney as Hannibal’s son

Mr. T is not a fool, does not want our pity, and respectfully requests that we quit our jibba-jabba about his absence in the film.

I love it when a plan comes together.

Carrey can do subtle. See Eternal Sunshine for an example. Alternatively, if they *have* to get an A-lister for the role, Johnny Depp could make a good Murdock.
