Project Collaboration demo blogcast

Here is my latest demonstration: project collaboration.  What I’m showing is the common scenario of a few people just wanting to work together on a project and get more from Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007 and some of the desktop applications.  I go through:

  • Creating a team workspace
  • Using simple project tasks view with the gantt chart
  • Taking a team calendar offline using Outlook
  • Working with document properties, version history and permissions
  • Content types
  • Taking documents offline in Outlook
  • Blogging from Word 2007 into SharePoint
  • Using SharePoint 2007 Wikis and RSS feeds

To watch the video just click here and then I strongly suggest you hit ctrl-shift-G to watch it speeded up 🙂

If you like this video why not try out some of the other ones I’ve done

  1. Marc says:

The best thing I have found is on the Office web site, there’s a flash animation that looks like Word 2003, allowing you to click on the function you want – it then shows you where it is in 2007.

However, I have been unable to get back Clippy 🙁

  2. Continuing my series of blogcast demos, this week I am talking about business intelligence , showing

  3. I must confess I was a bit hungover when I recorded this one so I do suggest you run it speeded up (ctrl-shift-G)
