OfficePalooza is a two-week event (April 20 – May 1, 2009) that is open to just about everyone around the world. (Read the official rules to find out if you’re eligible to enter.)

The first day of OfficePalooza we're going to present you with a set of challenges, and you'll have to use Microsoft Office 2007 Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) to solve those challenges. When you think you’ve solved a challenge, follow the instructions on the challenge page and send in your solution. It’s that simple.

Well, almost. Be sure to follow all the instructions in the challenge description. Also, and this is really important, be sure you send your solution in before the deadline. Each challenge has a different deadline, so pay close attention or you’ll miss out.

Points (or at least virtual goldfish) will be awarded for entries that correctly solve the challenge. We'll be posting scores daily throughout the competition. (If you don't want anyone to know your score, just enter with an alias rather than your real name.) Everyone who enters (assuming you meet the eligibility requirements) will also be eligible for one of the prizes we’re giving away. Best of all, you don't even have to correctly solve the challenge in order to be eligible to win a prize. All you have to do is enter. But what would be the fun in that?
