Office Community Day Happening on June 15, 2010, Munich, Germany

For those Office users who speak German: the second Office Community Day is occuring on June 15, 2010, in Munich, Germany. The focus of Office Community Day will be developing Microsoft Office 2010 business applications using Microsoft Office development tools in Visual Studio 2010 (formerly known as Microsoft Visual Studio Tools for Office in earlier versions of Visual Studio), Office Open XML, and Microsoft SharePoint 2010.

Microsoft MVP, Helmut Obertanner, who is an expert in Office development tools in Visual Studio and Microsoft Outlook, will be talking about extending the Outlook explorer, inspector, ribbon, and form region. Helmut has previously contributed valuable code samples to our Outlook developer content, and more of his works will be published this summer on MSDN!

Other Outlook features that will be discussed include the Microsoft Outlook Social Connector, by Lars Keller, another Microsoft MVP also specializing in Office development tools in Visual Studio. For more information about getting your social network's news feed and friends' data showing in Outlook's People Pane without having the user leave Outlook, see Developing an Outlook Social Connector Provider for Outlook 2010, Outlook 2007, and Outlook 2003.

Details about other sessions can be found at Office Community Day - Sessions.

Admission to the Office Community Day will be by donation.
