L'Update Windows Embedded for Point of Service v1.1 est disponible. Affirmant son positionnement sur ce secteur de marché, Microsoft ajoute dans cette version le support pour les derniers standards et de nouvelles langues :

  • Support for the XP Pro MUI Pack – includes support for 33 languages.
  • Support for POS for .NET:
    • Support for version 1.11 of the UPOS specification
    • Added device classes for Biometrics, Electronic Journal, Bill Acceptor, Bill Dispenser, Coin Acceptor, and Image Scanner
    • Supports the Unified POS v1.11 specification standard changes for ClearInput, SmartCard and Printer base classes
