Dynamics User Groups

A quick summary of the Dynamics user groups in New Zealand. If I’ve missed any, please drop me a line.

Auckland CRM/xRM

The Auckland user group has a combined CRM/xRM focus and is co-ordinated by a committee of local CRM partners and myself. The Auckland group meets on the first Tuesday of every month at the Microsoft offices, kicking off at 5.30 networking followed by the session from 6-7pm. The sessions are proving very popular with over 50 attendees and thus I strongly recommend you register at https://crmug.co.nz/.

Tomorrow (May 4) evening’s session is focused on CRM marketing functionality.

Wellington Dynamics

The Wellington Dynamics user group is run by a four personal panel comprised of two partners, a customer and Microsoft. Wellington sessions have been running in the Microsoft offices since mid 2008, once every month or two. Sessions are generally focused on CRM but also cover other Dynamics and Microsoft products. The next Wellington session on May 11 covers Office and Sharepoint integration leveraging Dynamics data.

Christchurch Dynamics

Jian Sun, the original brains behind the Wellington user group, fled Wellington specifically to set up a new Dynamics user group in Christchurch (no, not really). The group webpage is shared with Wellington https://dynamicsug.wordpress.com/, and while it’s a little early to say what the sessions will be focused on, I’d guess similar to Wellington - a CRM focus with ERP products sprinkled in to keep the back office happy (kiwisue, hope you’re reading).

The first Christchurch session will be held on May 19 in the Intergen offices – space will be tight so please RSVP.

South Island Dynamics

The South Island Dynamics user group is run by end users and is focused on NAV. Their website can be found here: https://dynamics.org.nz/

Obviously they organise things very well as they seem have pulled off the coup of the century and will be running their next event on October 20 and 21 in Hanmer Springs. Staggering.

New Zealand AX

Another end user run group, the New Zealand AX user group meets in Auckland generally and have an excellent website. Sessions run approx once a quarter and focus not surprisingly on Dynamics AX.

New Zealand SL

Run by Complete Solutions, the Microsoft SL partner in New Zealand, the SL user group has sessions nationwide. Please contact John Biggs if you are interested.
