Life Hacks - Improve Your Life

Life Hacking, which is defined as "anything that solves a problem in an clever or non-obvious way" in regards to general everyday life, is a new term I just "discovered".  I'm excited because I love tools, organization, process improvement, etc when it comes to day-to-day living.  I'm an avid list maker (on real, physical paper) and have been known to be somewhat obsessive compulsive when it comes to making things more efficient.  It is cool to find a term and community for something I've worked on my whole life!

These would be topics like "how to better prioritize a list", "ideas on organizing folders", "the power of remembering people's names", "syncing to paper", "keeping a clear mind by not having to think twice of a To Do item", etc.  Or maybe little tools to be more productive as opposed to increasing complexity when dealing with the PC.

Scott Hanselman has one of my favorite blogs and definitely my favorite Podcast, Hanselminutes.  It was on his show on Life Hacks that really introduced me to the term and community. In it he talks about the concept of Like Hacking, lot of great Life Hacks he implements, and a bunch of resources.  He mentions that the typical computer programmer's mindset of making things better, faster, more efficient, more productive, should be applied to life as well.

Resources

"Computers make us more productive. Yeah, right. Lifehacker recommends the software downloads and web sites that actually save time. Don't live to geek; geek to live." - LifeHacker.com

So now that I'm all pumped about this, I've added a category to my website called "Life Hacks" where I'll be posting all my musings in this space.  My description is "Thoughts and think pieces, quotes of wisdom or folly, tools of the trade, process improvements, and general hacks for daily life."  I'd love to hear your Life Hacks too!
