I saw a demo of Virtual Earth 3D a month ago and was impressed with the vision and possibilities of the platform.

Check out https://www.my3dvistas.com/ unfortunately you'll need to change your language settings to en-us before installing the viewer, since VE3D is only available in some geographies other languages/ geographies are being blocked from installing with a pleasant but annoying error message.

But once installed when I travelled to New Zealand I was very happy to find National Park :)

Compare this with SketchUp by Google and I see another example where the consumer will ultimately win out with the countless opportunities to innovate and mashup on top of these platforms.
