Introducing Internet Explorer 8

Come and get an overview of the new features and capabilities of Internet Explorer 8 straight from a senior member of the US based Internet Explorer team.

IE8 has plenty of exciting new features for web developers, consumers and IT Professionals. Leading the charge is a brand new rendering engine engineered from the ground up that renders websites stringently using today’s web standards. Jefferson Fletcher will introduce this new engine along with Web Slices and Activities. He will then demonstrate for the first time features added after the first public beta of Internet Explorer 8!

You will walk out of this session feeling confident that you can take advantage of IE8 immediately, and with minimal work from you, your existing web applications will continue to work as expected!

Speaker - Jefferson Fletcher

Jefferson Fletcher is a Senior Product Manager working on Internet Explorer. Since joining Microsoft in 1996, Jefferson has spent the bulk of his career in engineering and helped to deliver end-user features in multiple versions of Windows and Internet Explorer. A Seattle native, he left life as a poor Political Science major at the University of Washington 12 years ago because earning some extra cash as a software tester sounded like a good idea. (He has yet to find his way back...)
