First off support now for Windows Server 2012 R2, which will spin up 30% quicker than other versions. Windows Server 2012 R2 is supported for both VMs and Cloud Services which means you can start to build apps targeting .NET framework 4.5.1 and deploy to Azure PaaS (Cloud Services).
