DAY TWO at MMS
So what are the announcements on Day to of MMS?
Well today it is all about Microsoft System Center Config Manager (used to be SMS). Key announcement are:-
Config Manager SP1 which will come later this Quarter which will contain great support for Intel and AMD chipset and the inclusion of a new asset manager with is partly an on-line service, providing the ability to get a lot more granular information about all applications installed on computers and the licencing terms of all.
Config Manager R2 which is available in Q3 of this FY. This provides much more deeper integration with virtualization technology, to enable packages to be pushed down to physical or virtual machine images.
