blueKiwi - Vivement la collection Automne! - Looking forward to Fall release!

A suivre!

Yesterday, I was attending blueKiwi Seminar that took place rue de l'Université at MTC (Microsoft Technology Center). I was discovering for the first time this IDEES partner of which I only knew the name. I especially appreciated the demo of new Enterprise Web 2.0 scenarios.

You'll find more information on their official site but also on their blog (available only in French).

What I liked the most: the ease of use (which means fast adoption), multi-criteria search, histogram of posts enabling the selection of a time-period to filter search results, social networking based on principles similar to myBlogLog. I really think blueKiwi will be an excellent solution to federate a maximum of people to the new "Web 2.0" usages in the Enterprise and to accelerate their adoption.

Technologically speaking, the solution is developed with LAMP (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP) but is of course supported on Windows Server 2003/SQL Server, with an integration to LDAP directories.

THE information that *rang a bell* in my brain: the integration of blueKiwi to SharePoint (probably available in the Fall release) but I didn't manage to get more info. So I am looking forward to attending the seminar that will demo it!

It doesn't mean that you can forget Blog and Wiki possibilities of SharePoint... but I will soon come back on this point...

To be continued!
