    I cannot get the RTC to run on Windows Server 2012. The Service Tier runs and the RTC can be run from network workstations, but not the server itself.

    A message is displayed but I don't know how to turn on the advised flags. Nothing is logged in the Event Viewer.

    "The client could not establish a connection to the Nav service.

    FaultCode = 'InternalServiceFault'

    Reason = 'The server was unable to process the request due to an internal error.  For more information about the error, either turn on IncludeExceptionDetailInFaults (either from ServiceBehaviorAttribute or from the <serviceDebug> configuration behavior) on the server in order to send the exception information back to the client, or turn on tracing as per the Microsoft .NET Framework 3.0 SDK documentation and inspect the server trace logs.'

    In a previous statement for WS 2008 R2 it was mentioned

    "Please note that compatibility for Microsoft Windows Server 2008 R2 does not cover Business Notification for Microsoft Dynamics NAV and Commerce Gateway."

    I guess that this is valid also for WS 2012, is it possible to add a clear Verbatim on this statement as well ?

    Cheers

    To Dave

    Please read more in this blog post

    community.dynamics.com/…/enabling-diagnostic-tracing-for-dynamics-nav-web-services.aspx

    It might help you locating why the client could not establish a connection to Nav Service…. “Reason = 'The server was unable to process the request due to an internal error.

    Dear NAV team:

    you mention in this blog that Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2009 SP1 is confirmed as compatible with Windows 8 and Windows Server 2012.

    I would just like to confirm that this includes the NAV 2009 SP1 Classic Client, correct?

    Thanks!

    Is there an update for this compatibility statement as it relates to Windows Server 2012R2?  And what about Server Core for Windows Server R2?  As more clients move to virtualization, more of them are asking about Server Core.

  11. René Gubler says:
