wishlist check-in

So how did my wishlist stack up against the reality of the Stevenote? Well, there were no hardware announcements, so there went (1), (4), (5), and (8).

The Leopard Finder is now Freakin' Fixed, or it's at least better than before, so I'll give myself a point for (6). I'll have to play around with the Cover Flow view to see how that works out in practice. The new Shared feature in the Finder gives us some .Mac improvements, so maybe we'll see more about that in the future. Regardless, I'll give myself a point for (7).

Two points is pretty good for a keynote that didn't include very many new items. I'm probably doing better than a lot of rumour sites, especially those ones that had that badly-faked keynote rundown.

Now it's time to install the beta of Safari. I might even boot up the long-neglected Windows box in my office to install it there!
