Back and in a New Role

It's good to be back!

I took a short break from Microsoft this last year helping my wife get her real estate business automated (100% Microsoft of course). Now I'm back at work with Microsoft doing a brand new and exciting role!

In my new role I am a Developer Evangelist focusing on Windows Server Development. This includes talking "evangelizing" about the newest API's or finding new uses for older API's. I also plan to spend a significant amount of time helping developers that are currently running on-premises in Windows Server "Reach for the Sky" and touch the clouds! What that means from a non-marketing speak is I plan to help developers extend their existing applications that run in Windows leverage our Azure PaaS offering and add new life to these applications.

While the new role is a big change for me I think the short term stretch will be moving to Redmond, WA. My family and I have been living in Texas for the past 12 years so we are definitely used to the sun. However, we think there is enough outdoor fun in Washington to take our mind off the weather :)
