The purpose of this article is to identify a set of activities to be carried out to monitor the database on which we have installed SharePoint 2007. It is based on various Microsoft article whose links can be found in the bibliography section.
By way of introduction, we can say that the monitoring of the database is an essential activity to ensure the proper functioning of SharePoint 2007. The main activities of monitoring include:
- Verify the integrity of the database.
- Defragmenting indexes.
- Configure the server filling factor.
- Recover space not used the database.
