Weekly Checklist: Attend MVP Global Summit Countdown…and Vote on a Hat!

image About a week before the MVP Global Summit, it has become traditional for many MVPs to come together with a mission. The  official reason is to prepare for the Global Summit and walk through the week’s activities during a set of webcasts we call the MVP Global Summit Countdown. However, I think for many, it’s because they want to torment me <smile>. As part of the Summit Countdown, brianbostonMVPs get a chance to vote on the hat I will wear at the Global Summit. I have worn Mardi Gras hats, jester caps, cat-in-hat hats…and last time I wore a penguin on my head!

Let’s assume for moment that your goal isn’t to torment me. That would mean that you are at the Summit Countdown to walk through each day of the Global Summit. You want to learn where sessions are, what hotels are closest, when the busses arrive, where is dinner (or lunch or breakfast), how to get to the Microsoft Company Store, …you get the idea.

This year we are offering a 30 minute pre-recorded session focusing specifically on Seattle weather, hotels and other Global Summit venues. This is followed-up by two live Countdown Sessions where we drill into the daily details that make this event work best for you and allow you offer your questions and our Global Summit veterans to share their insights. Here are the session details.

We hope all Global Summit attendees can take advantage of the recorded session and one of the live sessions to prepare for March 1st. And, yes…if you come to one of the live sessions you get to vote on the hat I will wear to greet you on that day. It’s all part of the fun! I hope to chat with you later this week during the 2009 MVP Global Summit Countdown.
