Last month, Mexican MVPs along with members of the Microsoft DX Mexico team presented the Hackathon Internet of Things – Windows 10 in the most well-known meetup venue for Mexico City’s IT community: Telmex Hub. For 36 hours, students, developers and IT pros shared code, participated in technical sessions, took on developer challenges and had lots of fun.
The technical sessions were delivered by Visual Studio and Development Technologies MVP José Saturnino Pimentel Juarez and Windows Development MVP Ricardo Pons and included topics like learning to build Adaptable User Interfaces for devices running Windows 10, program Live Tiles, and integrate Windows Azure services.
Attendees worked in teams of three to develop a Windows 10 app that uses the Universal Platform and tackled three challenges:
- App Challenge- Develop an innovative app (something never seen before)
- Videogame Challenge – Create a game addictive to play
- Internet of Things Challenge – Develop an app that shows how IoT is changing the world
