Microsoft Turkey Summer Camp closes with 55,000 attendees

Annually providing top-notch technical sessions and workshops to 100 university students around Turkey, Microsoft Turkey Summer Camp kicked off on August 3rd at the Microsoft Turkey Istanbul office and will run until the end of the month. Also called as Open Academy Summer Camp, this event provides an opportunity for students to take the first prominent step on their career paths. Students had the opportunity to meet industry leaders and possibly open doors to their desired occupations.
With an agenda focusing on “Mobile First, Cloud First” motto and consisting on technologies such as Azure, .NET, SQL Server, and Windows 10 application development, this year, Microsoft Turkey provided the students who cannot join the camp in person an opportunity to attend business sessions delivered by members of Microsoft. Technical sessions focusing Office 365, Microsoft Azure, .NET Development and SQL Server were delivered by Microsoft Azure MVP Daron Yondem, Windows Platform Development MVP Emrah Uslu, Windows Platform Development MVP Engin Polat, SQL Server MVP Osman Cokakoglu, and SharePoint Server MVP Burak Batur. As the event was streamed online, it has successfully reached an audience of 55,000 attendees in 26 days.
At the end of the 26-day Summer Camp, students had the opportunity to present their final projects to industry leaders, Members of Microsoft, MVPs, and the press. The top five teams were given Lenovo Yoga 13, Dell Venue 8, Acer Iconia W3, Nokia Lumia 820, and Nokia Lumia 720 as prizes for successfully completing their projects.
