MVPs Help Make the 2014 System Center Universe a Success

Nearly 2,000 technical enthusiasts, industry insiders and first-time System Center adopters from around the globe participated in the 2014 System Center Universe (SCU) event.  SCU has deep roots in the community and brings together top tier presentations in System Center from Microsoft executives, MVPs and other experts.

With more than 30 simulcast locations and 10 hours of live streamed content, MVPs played a crucial role in the development and success of the event.  SCU covered content ranging from Windows Server 2012 and Hyper – V to Windows Azure IaaS and Windows 8.  The popularity of the event is evident from its social media presence, #scu2014 was a trending topic on Twitter just three hours into the event.

Johan Arwidmark

 

Johan Arwidmark is the Chief Technical Architect with Knowledge Factory. He is a consultant, author and all-around geek specializing in Systems Management and Enterprise Windows Deployment Solutions. 

In addition to his consulting role, Johan present trainings and speaks at several conferences each year, including MMS and TechEd around the world. He is also actively involved in communities like deploymentresearch.com and myitforum.com, and he has been awarded Microsoft Most Valuable Professional (MVP) for eight years. 

Johan is known for an energetic and humorous style, tackling complex concepts using simple "Real World" scenarios and lots of live demos. His areas of expertise include: Enterprise Windows Deployment Tools and Solutions, ConfigMgr, MDT, WinPE, USMT, and WDS.

Kent Agerlund

 

Kent Agerlund works as a consultant; author, trainer and event speaker specializing in System Center Solutions at Coretech. Kent frequently speaks at conferences like TechEd, MMS and is the main author of Mastering Configuration Manager 2012 training and the books Mastering Configuration Manager 2012 and System Center 2012 Configuration Manager Mastering the Fundamentals .

He is also actively involved in communities like TechNet forums, local user groups, and is awarded Microsoft Most Valuable Professional (MVP) for his work with Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager. On stage Kent is known for mixing "Real World" scenarios into his presentation with lots of demos.

Cameron Fuller

 

Cameron Fuller, System Center MVP for Cloud and Datacenter Management, is a Principal Consultant for Catapult Systems and serves as their Corporate Practice Lead for System Center. He focuses on management solutions, with 20 years of infrastructure experience. Cameron coauthored Microsoft Operations Manager 2005 Unleashed (Sams, 2006), System Center Operations Manager 2007 Unleashed (Sams, 2008), and System Center Operations Manager 2007 R2 Unleashed (Sams, 2010), and a contributor to System Center Configuration Manager 2007 Unleashed (Sams, 2009). Cameron has written for Windows IT Professional and TechNet magazines and blogs on System Center related topics. Cameron has presented at numerous Microsoft conferences, including TechEd and MMS.

Maarten Goet

 

Maarten Goet has been a System Center Cloud and Datacenter MVP for six years and is a well-known speaker at leading industry events such as the Microsoft Management Summit, Microsoft Teched in the US and Europe, and Microsoft Techdays in Europe and Asia. In his day job, Maarten assists enterprise customers envision and build their Private Clouds based on Microsoft Hyper-V and System Center. In the last 12 months, Maarten has been specializing in Windows Azure and helping out customers deploying Hybrid clouds. He contributed to various System Center books and was co-founder ofsystemcentercentral.com He runs the dutch System Center User Group and founded authoringfriday.com to help build a community around authoring System Center packs.

Jason Sandys

 

Jason Sandys, ConfigMgr MVP, is currently a Technology Evangelist and Principal Consultant for Catapult Systems Inc, and has nearly 20 years of experience in a wide range of technologies, environments, and industries with extensive knowledge in implementing and supporting all things SMS and Configuration Manager beginning with SMS 2.0. Jason is also active in the online support community, is a co-author of System Center 2012 Configuration Manager Unleashed (Sams 2012), was a contributing author to System Center Configuration Manager 2007 Unleashed (Sams, 2009), and is a frequent presenter at Microsoft TechEd, MMS, and various nation-wide user-groups.

Pete Zerger

Pete is a consultant, author, speaker and Microsoft MVP focusing on System Center management, private cloud and data center automation solutions. He is a frequent speaker at Microsoft conferences and has written articles for a variety technical magazines including Microsoft TechNet.

He was a contributing author on several books, including Opalis 6.3 Unleashed and the upcoming System Center Orchestrator 2012 Unleashed. He also contributed to Operations Manager 2012 Unleashed and the PowerShell 2.0 Bible.

Pete is also the co-founder of SystemCenterCentral.com, a popular web community providing information, news and support for System Center Technologies. In 2008, Pete founded the System Center Virtual User Group, a group dedicated to sharing System Center knowledge with users around the world.
