Rodney Jao shares lessons learned managing global software developement



MVP Rodney C Jao from the Philippines, was an invited speaker at the 2010 Digital Filipino Software Development Conference in Makati City last month. Rodney discussed Team Foundation Server (TFS) and lessons learned in managing a global software development project. 

Four important themes stood out from his presentation: plan, track, stay organized, and communicate. Rodney suggested a variety of tools such as SharePoint and VisualStudio to help achieve these goals during the development process.   

Rodney is a well known "guru" in the Filipino community.  He is the Managing Director of Lane Systems, a software and consulting firm with offices in Asia and North America. Rodney is a Microsoft MVP for Device Application Development.
