Looking forward to the 2013 Fantastic People of Worldwide Partner Conference!

imageCan you believe that Worldwide Partner Conference 2013 is less than two weeks away?!?! WPC has always been my favorite conference of the year, with the opportunity to see and meet so many of our partners from around the world, and this year is absolutely no exception. One piece of Worldwide Partner Conference 2013 that I am really looking forward to is the next annual edition of the “Fantastic People of Worldwide Partner Conference.” For those of you that have been following me and/or my blog for awhile, you are familiar with the Fantastic People of Worldwide Partner Conference that I started doing a few years back. For those of you that are not familiar with it, let me introduce you to what it is, and if you’re going to Worldwide Partner Conference 2013, how you too can be a part of it.

As I mentioned, one of my favorite parts of Worldwide Partner Conference is getting to see partners from around the world in person that I have the pleasure to work with online throughout the year, as well as the opportunity to meet so many new partners that I may never have met in person or online before. Because I enjoy this so much, I started building a collection of photos of partners and media/press I had the opportunity to meet or see while at Worldwide Partner Conference and then shared a handful of them online one year in a post called Connecting with others – A HUGE value of #WPC10 (Look who I found). As it turned out, the post was very popular and many partners pinged me about it to say “Thanks” for putting faces with some names, for sharing pictures with them, for meeting and talking while at WPC, and asking how could they be a part of that in the future. As such, I expanded the approach in 2011 to proactively offer up the opportunity to be a part of the picture post, and the “Fantastic People of WPC” tradition began.

As you can see, in 2011, the number of pictures expanded quite a bit over 2010: Another year of connecting with fantastic people at WPC11! Thank you! Then in 2012, it grew even bigger, with even more partners (and some friends from the media/press) joining in on the action: Connecting with the Fantastic People of Worldwide Partner Conference 2012. Thank you for joining us!

So here we are, approaching Worldwide Partner Conference 2013 in Houston, and once again I am making the open offer to all of you joining us for this incredible conference to join me. If you are attending Worldwide Partner Conference 2013 and we’ve met before, or maybe we’ve connected through any of my online accounts such as my Twitter account, my blog, my LinkedIn account, my Facebook account, etc., or maybe you use my Microsoft Information Partner Windows Phone app, or we’ve never connected and your just a follower of any of my online sites or have taken advantage of offers I’ve made like the massive collections of FREE eBooks:

I welcome you to introduce yourself to me or come up and say “Hi” again at Worldwide Partner Conference 2013, and let’s grab a pic together to share with other partners around the world. If you’ve been in the Fantastic People of Worldwide Partner Conference posts before, let’s continue the tradition and grab another picture this year too. After all, we’re all part of the big Microsoft Partner Network family, and I’d love to help build and maintain connections with and between as many of you as I can.

See you all in Houston, and here’s to the Fantastic People of Worldwide Partner Conference 2013!
